Welcome to The Limelight Players....!

The Limelight Players have been in existence for over 30 years and perform 2 times each year at the Dovehouse Theatre in Solihull and also at drama festivals throughout the year, where we have won several awards for best Direction, Best Actor to name a couple.

The group is a small friendly one whose members comes from all walks of life but all with one aim - To have FUN, so if you're 18 years or over, have always wanted to strut your stuff and tread the boards then come along and check us out.

No experience is required just the desire to give it a go. The Limelight Players are a group of people working together as a team to encourage, provide guidance and help you enjoy it to the full. We provide excellent entertainment to the general public, friends and family and have fun along the way.....

Perfect Wedding

A man wakes up in his bridal suite on the morning of his big day, his wedding day; but as he wakes he soon realises that that the beautiful girl lying next to him is not his bride to be and he has no idea who she is or indeed where and how he met her!! Whats he going to do now!!!

As the panick sets in he realises he must get the girl he spent the night with out of there as quick as he can say "I do" but it's too late, his bride to be turns up to get ready for the biggest day of their lives an he ends up locking the mystery girl in the bathroom.

So, Now what's he going to do !! He decides to persuade his best man to claim her as his date for the wedding, but he gets confused and introduces the chambermaid to the bride as his date instead.

The crisis escalates even further by the time the mother of the bride and the best man's actual girlfriend arrive. Can he crawl his way out of the big hole he's dug for himself and make it up the aisle, come along and find out for yourself in this side splitting combination of riotous farce and touching love story brought to you by The Limelight Players
